This is my fifth year teaching at St. Timothy's School. I have a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Vermont, and my first career was as a Clerk Magistrate in the Boston Juvenile Court. After moving to Raleigh, I stayed at home with our two children, however I have always remained involved in working with children, from tutoring at Loaves and Fishes Ministries to substitute teaching. I returned to school and received my certification in Elementary Education from North Carolina Central University. I look forward to coming to school each day and see the children grow and gain independence and confidence in their abilities-it is truly a gift to me.
When I am not in school, I spend time with my husband, Father James. If it is baseball season, we will most likely be watching our beloved Red Sox and cheering them on. We have two children, both of whom attended St. Timothy's from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Our daughter Olivia just graduated from Elon, and our son Sam attends Bates College in Maine.
In my free time, I love to walk, read, knit, needlepoint, bake and cook. My favorite places to visit are Boston, Asheville, Vermont and Maine. Something I would like to do is to kayak, and I would like to visit the Grand Canyon and the Pacific Northwest.
I am looking forward to a wonderful year in Kindergarten!
